R&D Manager - Regulatory Affairs

Job description

The Regulatory Affairs Manager ensures compliance with food manufacturing regulations to support business operations. This role collaborates with category owners and functional heads to expedite licensing, permitting, and product development while ensuring regulatory compliance in domestic and international markets within the SEA-Oceania region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive timely commercialization of new products and facilities.
  • Collaborate with business leads to optimize product concepts, claims, and labeling.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, registrations, licensing, and permitting.
  • Provide technical guidance on product development, labeling, and distribution.
  • Manage market authorizations, licenses, permits, and regulatory budgets.
  • Support cross-functional teams with regulatory compliance and claims assessment.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, influencing approvals and resolutions.
  • Review and approve claims, advertising, and promotional materials for compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and facilitate smooth regulatory transitions.
  • Act as a liaison with government agencies, communicating compliance requirements.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Regulatory Affairs, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food, nutrition, or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong background in regulatory compliance, product labeling, and claims management.
  • Experience in managing product approvals, licensing, and certifications from regulatory authorities.
  • Proven track record in leading regulatory strategies for new product development and commercialization.
