Quality and Safety Specialist

A global good packaging specialist, manufacturing paper and plastic disposable tableware for quick service restaurants, coffee shops and retail stores. They are committed to sustainability, embedding it in everything they do to protect food, people and the planet. They are currently looking for a Quality and Safety specialist to join their team.

Key responsibilities:

• Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
• Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products. Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, business excellence, and other appropriate staff.
• Coordinates product testing processes.
• Participates in product testing cup forming, packing and printing process
• Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
• Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
• Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians and other staff in aspect of quality and safety
• Hires and trains quality assurance staff.
• Establish, implement and coordinate the compliance of Quality system in accordance with BRCGS, GFSI, FSC and PEFC which comply to global standards.
• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
• Prepare quality report PROCESS CAPABILITY (CP, CPK) and report to top management
• To investigate, analyze and recommend solutions to drive process improvements, quality improvements and cost improvements using Lean/Six Sigma principles.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a background in quality assurance in the F&B manufacturing industry.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated ability to establish, optimize, and manage QA processes effectively.
• Familiarity with ISO 22000, FSSC, HACCP, BRC, and Halal certifications and their requirements.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to drive quality improvements.
