Project Procurement Professional

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project requirements during tender stages and provide accurate cost inputs for materials and resources.
  • Assess contract scopes, terms, and risks, and develop strategic recommendations for negotiations.
  • Manage or assist in commercial and contractual discussions with vendors, both domestic and international.
  • Oversee material expenditures and track costs across project lifecycles, ensuring procurement alignment with planning activities.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, and supplier optimization programs, including competitive bidding exercises.
  • Monitor and report key procurement performance indicators, recommending actions to enhance project outcomes.
  • Support supplier follow-ups, delivery tracking, and claims resolution.
  • Generate procurement documentation and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (including Sales, Project Execution, and Commercial) to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
  • Undertake additional procurement-related tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in the offshore, marine, or energy sectors.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience supporting complex offshore or marine projects, with knowledge of relevant industry standards.
  • Technical understanding of major equipment and systems such as power generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS, control systems, HVAC, and other critical project components.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate with both local and international suppliers.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost control capabilities.
  • Proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Self-driven, accountable, and able to thrive in a busy work environment.
  • Team-oriented, professional, and committed to maintaining high ethical standards.
