Production Manager

Our client is a Multinational manufacturing company in Malacca. They are currently seeking a Production Manager.


Responsibilities:

• Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team to achieve performance targets and maintain high morale.
• Quality Control: Ensure all production processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials and components for uninterrupted production.
• Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the production budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular production reports to the Operations Director, highlighting key performance indicators and progress against targets.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless operations and successful project delivery.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production management role within the precision engineering or microtechnology industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning and inventory management.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
• Language: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional languages are an advantage.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and priorities.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
