Plant Operations Manager

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee plant operations, production planning, manufacturing, maintenance, and warehousing.
  • Ensure production targets, efficiency, and cost objectives are met; drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; manage QA systems and CAPA.
  • Ensure HSE compliance, promote safety culture, and implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, drive cost reductions, and monitor KPIs (efficiency, waste, downtime).
  • Lead, coach, and develop plant team; ensure manpower planning, training, and engagement.
  • Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance; lead CAPEX projects and plant upgrades.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, QA, R&D, Sales, and external stakeholders; support NPI and commercialization.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing management, FMCG experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Presentation skills and computer literacy.
  • Initiative, commitment to excellence, and ability to drive results.
