The Trading Back Office Analyst ensures smooth post-trade operations by managing confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting. This role supports front-office trading activities by maintaining accurate records, mitigating operational risks, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
Trade Processing & Settlement
Validate and confirm trades across multiple asset classes (e.g., commodities, FX, derivatives, equities).
Ensure timely and accurate settlement of transactions with counterparties.
Monitor and resolve discrepancies between trade bookings and confirmations.
Reconciliation & Reporting
Perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash, and collateral.
Investigate breaks and discrepancies, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
Prepare and deliver operational and regulatory reports.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support audits and regulatory inspections with accurate documentation.
Identify operational risks and propose process improvements.
Operational Support
Collaborate with front-office traders, risk managers, and finance teams to ensure seamless trade lifecycle management.
Provide support for system enhancements and testing.
Assist in implementing automation and efficiency improvements in back-office processes.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
Experience: 2-5 years in back-office operations, trade support, or financial services.
Skills:
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
Familiarity with financial instruments and market operations.
Proficiency in Excel and exposure to trading/settlement systems.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
