Mechanical Engineer

Job Purpose:
The role also involves tasks related to seaming and filling, can and lid fabrication, vertical pouch liquid filling, double seam adjustment and tuning, and working with can and lid parameter specifications.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide engineering support for daily production operations.
• Analyze machine performance, application processes, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures or breakdowns and implement long-term corrective measures.
• Plan and organize resources for maintenance, repairs, and overhauls to ensure efficient job execution.
• Prepare job safety risk assessments to ensure work is performed safely.
• Collaborate with departments such as QA and QC to monitor double-seam quality.
• Work closely with the production team to meet output and productivity targets.
• Monitor and manage maintenance expenses to remain within budget constraints.
• Train and guide subordinates to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisors.
• Actively participate in 5S, Kaizen, TPM, plant improvement, cost-saving initiatives, safety campaigns, and training activities organized by the company.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining filling and sealing machinery, especially in food or beverage manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of canning, pouch filling, double seam technology, and sealing specifications.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing root cause analyses.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and scheduling.
• Familiarity with safety and quality assurance standards in manufacturing environments.
• Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to equipment issues.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and safety programs.
