Manager, Product Management and Implementation

Job description

The Role :

  • Implementing product initiatives to align with company objectives, Group standards, and regulatory mandates.
  • Overseeing the product pipeline and adhering to development timelines across all distribution channels.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality and accurate outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product lifecycle by continuously assessing performance and making adjustments to enhance value, identifying opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Enhance and adapt the product proposition to maintain relevance and appeal to target customers.
  • Conduct market research, analyze customer and channel feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product concepts and features.
  • Establish product specifications and conduct usability testing to evaluate product feasibility.
  • Work closely with the Product team on technical implementation to ensure effective and timely execution of product initiatives.
  • Lead weekly Agile Product Development meetings with the task force to oversee progress, manage risks, and address issues related to product launches and regulatory initiatives.
  • Coordinate with departments such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, IT, Actuarial, and Marketing to ensure seamless coordination of resources for smooth implementation and timely launch of product initiatives.
  • Supervise the quality and timelines of materials delivered by the Product team.
  • Ensure completion of all necessary documentation and approvals as per the Product Development Process (PDP) and Product Management Framework (PMF) timelines.
  • Manage and monitor Product Day 2 items to ensure timely clearance of system backlog.
  • Review PDP and PMF guidelines annually and support audit exercises as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and perform additional duties as required.


  • Hold a minimum of a degree and possess at least 6 years of experience in product development or implementation within the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated strong project management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities with a strong business acumen.
  • Self-assured, proactive, and well-organized.
  • Proficient in both frontend and backend systems within the insurance sector.
