Manager, Actuarial Valuation (IFRS17)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and performance direction to a team of actuarial analysts.
• Build a positive working environment that supports development, capability growth and morale.
• Allocate resources effectively and adjust work arrangements to meet operational priorities.
• Participate in recruiting efforts to secure strong technical and cultural fit for the team.
• Lead the full cycle of IFRS17 reporting for assigned markets-execution, validation, analytics and commentary.
• Ensure the accuracy, credibility and timely submission of results across all reporting templates and deliverables.
• Oversee cross-checks for internal consistency and escalate unusual trends where needed.
• Maintain structured documentation of review findings through logs, trackers or Q&A repositories.
• Communicate IFRS17 outcomes and insights clearly with business units and relevant stakeholders.
• Act as the primary liaison between Group Actuarial, local business units and supporting teams (e.g., data, systems, finance).
• Coordinate production requirements, track progress and maintain transparent communication on timelines.
• Manage expectations of internal stakeholders and ensure dependencies across teams are addressed efficiently.
• Escalate complex or novel issues to senior management with clear analysis and recommended actions.
• Review and endorse updates to operational guides, documentation and standard procedures based on learnings.
• Partner with development teams to propose enhancements to tools, workflows or models supporting IFRS17 production.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve overall reporting robustness.
• Set team priorities for actuarial initiatives originating from Group functions or business units.
• Oversee project roadmaps, resource allocation and delivery timelines.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality and governance standards.
