Linux Engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital strategies, ensuring stable core infrastructure and driving the adoption of innovative technologies and digital channels.
  • Design and enhance future-oriented digital architectures, building the competencies needed to support modern solutions.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver products, services, processes, and systems end-to-end.
  • Manage product portfolios, overseeing lifecycle activities and continuous improvement while ensuring quality standards.
  • Optimize processes and organizational workflows to improve efficiency and consistency across operations.
  • Develop and share technical, process, and IT expertise, supporting knowledge transfer within the organization.
  • Implement agile quality assurance and risk management, and create insights through market, trend, and competitive analysis.
  • Ensure compliant and secure system operations, including infrastructure maintenance, stakeholder management, and embedding accessibility and usability principles into improvements.

Requirements:

  • Strong familiarity with Python, Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity) and vendor APIs (Red Hat Satellite, Azure, GCP, VMware).
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing concepts, version control, and release management.
  • Experience with SRE practices and Everything‑as‑Code, including secrets management and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
  • Ability to read, debug, and implement templating languages such as Jinja2.
  • Knowledge of software architecture principles for building scalable automation solutions.
  • Proficiency with automation/configuration tools (Ansible, AAP, Salt, or Puppet).
  • Hands‑on experience planning, deploying, and maintaining RHEL production servers, including 2nd/3rd‑level support.
  • Solid knowledge of RHEL (RHCSA-level), virtualization (VMware), and general cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, Google BMS).
  • Familiarity with security practices such as SIEM, patching, PAM, plus basic OpenShift administration.
  • Experience scripting and automating system processes, performing health checks, and supporting server migration projects.
