Key Account Specialist

Job description

Our client is a Dutch MNC and a global leader in premium home and small appliances. They are looking for a Key Account Specialist to join their team in East Malaysia!

Responsibilites:

  • Lead and grow the East Malaysia business by driving sales performance, expanding channel coverage, and owning key commercial deliverables across the region
  • Strengthen and manage the distributor partnership through clear sales target alignment, joint business planning, and consistent performance monitoring
  • Deliver strong sell‑in results by leading accurate forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management to ensure healthy stock flow
  • Accelerate market expansion by identifying new business opportunities, acquiring key customers, and increasing penetration across hypermarkets, supermarkets, and electrical channels
  • Manage key accounts within Modern Retail electrical stores, driving sell‑out performance through impactful merchandising, in‑store activities, and retail engagement
  • Optimize commercial returns by managing trade spend, evaluating promotion effectiveness, and negotiating trade terms that maximize ROI
  • Track, analyze, and report sales and sell‑out performance to guide commercial decisions, improve execution, and ensure alignment with growth objectives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in sales or key account management (electrical, consumer electronics, FMCG preferred).
  • Proven track record in managing distributors and modern retail with measurable growth outcomes.
  • Commercial negotiation and pricing strategy.
  • Strong understanding of East Malaysia's retail and distribution landscape.
