Key Account Manager

Job description

Our client is a listed Switzerland multinational company focusing on manufacturing of bakery ingredients. They are looking for a Key Account Manager. The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned Retail or HoReCa accounts by executing agreed commercial plans, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying day-to-day business opportunities.

Job description:

  • Development of Key Accounts in Horeca or Retail Channel.
  • Develop and implement strategies for commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure that sales revenue and gross margin targets are achieved.
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Manage current and new client relationships.
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor the performance of commercial activities using key metrics.
  • Assist in setting financial targets and in budget development and monitoring.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in key commercial roles, including Key Account Management across Horeca, Retail, and Wholesale channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a strategic, results‑driven mindset.
  • Proven track record in achieving business targets, supported by solid financial, budgeting, and performance‑reporting knowledge.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with strong judgment and problem‑solving skills.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to perform under pressure while working independently or within a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office, demonstrating professionalism, ethics, approachability, and adaptability.
