Java Support Engineer (L3)

Job description


  • Serving as the main point of contact for technical resolutions and managing incident, problem, and knowledge management processes for the relevant applications.
  • Coordinating with 3rd party product vendors and/or integration partners for application fixes, delivery, and code deployment to meet quality, stability, performance, and capacity requirements.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall workload against the team's capacity.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across methods, tools, personnel, architecture, project management, and governance.


  • Prior experience in a highly secure environment, such as financial services, with a good understanding of security, audits, encryption, 2FA, or MFA.
  • Experience in application development and operations of complex integrated application solutions, including online and batch integrations.
  • Mandatory knowledge in RHEL (or equivalent Linux distributions), Java-based application development, database management systems (preferably Oracle), and Shell Scripting.
  • Additional advantageous experience with Solaris operating system, Finastra product (used in corporate e-channel platform), JBoss application server, Apache web server, security management across layers, Agile.
