IT Executive - Logistic Industry

About our client:

We are partnering with a fast‑growing organisation seeking an IT Business Partner to support their expanding Malaysian operations. This role acts as the key bridge between local business teams and regional IT delivery units, ensuring smooth operation of internal systems, effective communication of business needs, and a reliable IT environment for day-to-day operations.

This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy a hybrid function; balancing business/system support with hands-on IT operations while working closely with cross-border teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & System Support

• Serve as the primary IT contact for the Malaysian office, supporting local business stakeholders.
• Understand, analyse, and document business requirements; translate them into actionable tasks for regional IT teams.
• Provide L1/L2 support for internal applications, including incident handling, enhancement requests, and release coordination.
• Support UAT activities, system training, SOP creation, and user adoption initiatives.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend continuous improvements to enhance system usability and workflow efficiency.

Local IT Operations

• Provide onsite desktop/laptop support, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Manage IT asset procurement, inventory, and vendor coordination.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes for local employees.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting and liaise with service providers when required.

Skills & Experiences required:

• Experience in IT support, IT business partnering, or application/system support roles.
• Ability to work with remote/regional IT teams (Mandarin proficiency is an advantage but not mandatory).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into structured IT requirements.
• Hands-on capability in hardware/software troubleshooting and basic network operations.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
