IT Automation Engineer

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of IT and automation projects, including gathering functional requirements, preparing technical documentation, and providing system training to users.
  • Perform installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of both software and hardware systems within the factory environment.
  • Support machine integration and recipe management system (RMS), including troubleshooting communication between machines and IT systems.
  • Assist in system enhancements using C# or other tools as needed; perform testing such as functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Provide daily user support including on-site troubleshooting, user guidance, and follow-up on system-related issues or requests.
  • Document system configurations, support procedures, user manuals, and testing records to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and audit compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, production, IT), and vendors to ensure timely delivery of tasks and smooth system operation.

Qualification:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in IT support, system integration, or automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid IT fundamentals, with familiarity in Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in at least one programming language (preferably C#, Java, or VB.NET), and basic understanding of system architecture.
  • Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and ability to understand user requirements.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred and an added advantage.
