About our client:

Our client is a well-known retail company with an established presence in Malaysia. They are looking to hire an experienced Inventory Controller (Assistant Manager level), who will be leading the inventory and costing matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to FP&A Manager, based in Shah Alam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse inventory related adjustments and management for the business.
  • Responsible the root cause identification and recommend corrective actions for matters in relation to inventory.
  • In charge of coordination of bi-yearly stock counts and work together with retail and warehouse operations team on analysis and reports.
  • Responsible for analysis of WAC, Stock Cover and GIT balances.
  • In charge of tracking and analysis of various costs in relation to inventory costs.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the retail or manufacturing industry
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
