Internal Control Senior Manager (FMCG/ Retail Industry)

About our Client

This client is seeking for an experienced Senior Internal Control Manager to strengthen their governance framework and ensure efficient processes across business operations. This role will be pivotal in driving a control-conscious culture, enhancing process integrity, and supporting rapid growth across multiple locations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control procedures across operations, supply chain, production, and finance.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, COSO principles, and Malaysian regulatory requirements.
  • Review and strengthen control design, including segregation of duties and ERP workflow approvals.
  • Monitor control performance, identify risks, and support corrective or preventive actions.
  • Lead control self-assessments and drive the resolution of control gaps.
  • Work with Finance, Operations, and IT to automate and optimize internal controls.
  • Conduct control awareness programs and provide training to business teams.


Skills And Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or process compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
