Key objectives

  • For the backup and recovery estate, the ability to specify a global backup and recovery strategy was provided.
  • To create international recommendations and standards for naming conventions, security, configuration best practises, monitoring, and other topics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing solutions for newly released Backup & Recovery products.
  • Possess the aptitude and drive to investigate any new, modernised, and reliable backup and recovery solutions that are on the market and to certify them for the business before introducing them into a production setting.
  • Oversee the engineering and operations teams for TTO infrastructure in order to meet the goals outlined in the conduct principles of the bank: Fair Results for Clients; the Ideal Setting.
  • Identify, escalate, mitigate, and address risk, conduct, and compliance issues with effectiveness and collaboration.

To qualify:

  • It is highly advantageous to be familiar with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
  • It is essential to have extensive experience architecting and solving enterprise-level backup and recovery methods.
