Group Finance Manager

About Our Client:

We are currently recruiting for a leading automotive manufacturing company in Malaysia who is looking to hire an experienced Group Finance Manager or Senior Manager, who will be responsible for group finance and accounting matters and lead the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Financial Controller, based in Shah Alam:

  • Responsible for group consolidation, management reporting and Bursa reports submissions.
  • Manage daily accounting and finance operations, ensuring proper controls and timely financial reporting across all subsidiaries.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Supervise accounting functions including A/R, A/P, GL, inventory, and revenue recognition.
  • Detailed analysis on cost variance between manufacturing standard costs, to better advise operations and management.
  • Guide and develop the finance team and improve financial systems and SOPs.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and legal advisors to ensure compliance with audit and tax regulations.
  • Analyse financial data, cost variances, and support strategic management decision-making.
  • Handle year-end closing, statutory reporting, and special management assignments.
  • Perform in ad-hoc duties and projects as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant financial reporting and consolidation, with at least 3 years of people management experience, in the manufacturing industry.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, people management and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
