Group Accountant
Job description
An exciting opportunity to join our regional finance team within Ambition Recruitment Agency. We are looking for an Group Accountant supporting Australia and Asia business reporting to the Finance Director based in Australia. The responsibilities are all round management accounts and closing activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with the existing members of the finance team and other non-financial departments based in Australia, specifically month-end deliverables, assisting on:
Responsibilities:
- Review and preapre monthly management accounts including sales reports for Flash (Asia & Australia)
- Manage team on monthly deliverables including Asia and Australia Audit
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliation for Australia, month end recons involving non-payroll and payroll related
- Manage year end activities including preparation of consolidation and Group Annual Report
- Preparation of AU Tax
- Review RSM Audit Client Assistance Schedule and manager Australia Compliance in advance
- Lead and provide technical coaching for junior staff
- Subject matter expert in Microsoft BC
- Key point of contact for RTC Debtor Invoicing
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in finance/accounting or equivalent
- Experience of working within a finance department in a commercial environment/SSC
- Effective verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required,
- Basic Excel knowledge including the use of linked spreadsheets and the creation/amendment of formula would be an advantage.
