Frontend Technical Lead

Job Purpose:
This role will be critical to successfully establishing the new team but we are looking for a hands-on development lead, not a team manager.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
● Close collaboration with our global team of Product Managers and the UK-based Technology leadership team.
● Assist in architecting and personally develop new platform capabilities for all our markets.
● Champion strong technical standards and best-practise software engineering: code reviews, unit testing, CI/CD, secure software development.
● Fully engage with our agile development process: sprint planning, refi nement, sub-tasking, story point estimates all managed in Jira.
● Support the recruitment and training of engineers as we grow the team.
● Assist our operations team with technical questions
● Provide Malaysian patients with responsive 2nd line support for technical issues as per the Global support Standard Operating Procedure.

Skills & Knoewledge:
● Proven experience developing web applications with React and React Native in a commercial environment.
● Profi cient in TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
● Knowledge of React lifecycles and modern React systems such as hooks.
● Experience with Redux and middleware libraries.
● Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, preferably within an AWS environment.
● Familiarity with working under an Agile SDLC using Jira, Confl uence, and Git.
● Experience developing unit tests and taking advantage of a CI/CD pipeline.
● Profi cient in written and spoken English
● Exposure to any of the following would be helpful but is not essential: Docker, Jira.
