Field Sales Specialist - Freight Forwarding

Job description

Our client is a leading global logistics provider that specializes in freight forwarding solutions for the chemicals and dangerous goods vertical. Due to expansion of the team, they are looking to hire Field Sales Specialists to drive business growth across Malaysia.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in international freight forwarding (air, ocean, LCL/FCL, cross‑border, project cargo).
  • Develop and execute territory‑based sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to present solutions, understand requirements, and position the company's competitive advantages.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned customers to maximize retention and revenue growth.
  • Provide consultative support by analysing customer supply chain needs and offering tailored freight solutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication, problem resolution, and coordination with internal operations teams.



Skills & Experience Required:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in international freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets within a competitive logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of air/ocean freight, incoterms, customs processes, and global trade.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a problem‑solving approach.
