Exadata Administrator

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, configuration, and optimization of Oracle databases on Exadata platforms.

• Deliver continuous monitoring and incident resolution for performance and availability issues.

• Offer 24/7 operational support, including on-call duties, for mission-critical banking systems.

• Manage lifecycle activities such as patching and upgrading of Exadata components (databases, storage, servers, and networks).

• Liaise with Oracle support to resolve technical problems efficiently.

• Keep system documentation updated for configurations and procedures.

• Create and maintain automation scripts using PL/SQL and Shell scripting.

• Diagnose and resolve storage, network, and OS-related issues within Oracle Linux environments.

• Perform large-scale database cloning and recovery using RMAN.

• Collaborate with global teams to support enterprise-level applications with high performance demands.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Oracle Exadata systems and databases.

• Strong background in RAC, one-node, and standalone Oracle database setups.

• Skilled in PL/SQL development, Shell scripting, and Oracle Linux troubleshooting.

• Practical experience with Oracle DB versions 12c through 19c; exposure to Exadata X8/X9 is a plus.

• Solid understanding of performance tuning and Exadata storage architecture.

• Preferred: Certifications in Oracle DBA and Exadata technology.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in English, with a structured and analytical approach to tasks.
