ESG & Social Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company's ESG roadmap aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, labour standards, ethical sourcing, and governance requirements.
  • Conduct ESG risk assessments and recommend improvement measures.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Prepare the company for customer CSR, ethical, and sustainability audits.
  • Manage the full audit cycle including documentation, onsite readiness, corrective actions, and follow-up.
  • Address customer non-conformances and drive CAPA implementation.
  • Maintain updated CSR policies, procedures, and customer-required evidence.
  • Liaise closely with customers to understand and meet compliance expectations.
  • Prepare ESG and CSR reports for customers, regulators, and internal management.
  • Maintain records for audits, certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and sustainability disclosures.
  • Track ESG, social compliance, and audit-related performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Production, HR, Safety, Quality, and Procurement teams to ensure operational compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits and site assessments to ensure audit readiness.
  • Provide training on compliance and social responsibility standards.
  • Develop, review, and update sustainability and social compliance policies.
  • Assess supplier ESG/CSR performance and support responsible sourcing practices.
  • Ensure governance practices meet customer and regulatory expectations.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Corporate Governance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ESG, compliance, CSR, or ethical audits within manufacturing.
  • Experience with customer CSR audits (SMETA, RBA, or client-specific audits) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, labour regulations, environmental compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Experience managing non-conformances and implementing CAPA.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with auditors and customers.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting abilities.
