Director Risk

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for regulatory matters and liaison with local regulators regarding risk management.
• Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of the risk management framework, aligning it with the bank's risk appetite.
• Assess and oversee the overall risk profile of the bank, anticipating and addressing any risk evolution.
• Foster transversal cooperation among risk teams, contribute to relevant risk forums, and strengthen risk governance and culture.
• Develop close relationships with business lines, staying informed of significant activities and credit requests.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including those outlined by BNM (Bank Negara Malaysia).
• Lead and coordinate the ICAAP process, working with Finance and Compliance on stress tests and risk reporting.
• Oversee compliance with capital adequacy requirements, single customer exposure limits, internal/external audit findings, and BNM's Composite Risk Rating reviews.

Requirements:

• Degree in relevant fields and prior experience in risk and control related functions.
• Possesses strong knowledge and expertise in international risk management practices.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and ensures compliance.
• Has experience in managing various risk categories, including credit risk for corporates, credit and counterparty risk, market risk, funding and liquidity risk, operational risk, legal risk, reputation risk, and business risk.
