Database Administrator

Job Description:

• Manage Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MariaDB, Yugabyte, and PostgreSQL environments.
• Handle service requests, troubleshoot incidents, and provide BAU and project support.
• Monitor, diagnose, and tune databases for peak efficiency.
• Implement robust security measures, apply patches, and maintain compliance.
• Drive capacity planning and collaborate with cross-functional teams for future growth.
• Design and maintain database structures that power business applications.

Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of DBMS platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, Yugabyte, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB.
• Strong skills in database design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of backup and recovery procedures.
• Expertise in data security, encryption, and patch management.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
• Experience with database migration tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Ability to use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC).
