Data Scientist (Penang)

A renowned multinational IT hub based in Penang Island is actively recruiting Data Scientists

The Data Scientist role is a new addition to the expanding team, with multiple projects from Europe and China, ranging from supply chain optimization, IoT, digital farming and many more.

Core Responsibilities:

• End-to-end delivery of data analytics projects from blueprinting, analysis, strategy execution and implementation of statistical and data science models
• Analyze large volume and complex data sets from multiple sources with analytics tools/models to derive actionable insights
• Involved in various R&D projects along with cross functional team members
• Utilising data visualization tools to generate various reports and metrics dashboard for KPI
• Working in agile environment

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree and above in data science, statistics, or physics disciplines
• At least 4 years of experience working with data science or statistics projects in production environment - time-series analysis, predictive modelling, pattern recognition
• Solid exposure to development of machine learning in Python or/and R
• Good understanding of data visualization tools and cloud solutions
• Excellent communication skills in English
