Credit Control Specialist (Based in Klang)

About our client:

Our client is a multinational corporation in the consumer/FMCG industry, with a long-established presence in Malaysia. They are looking to hire an experienced Credit Control Specialist, who will be responsible for end-to-end credit control and collection matters, with proactive and process improvement mindset. This role will be supporting and reporting directly to Finance Manager, based in Klang.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involved in financial reporting for accounts receivable scopes and managing transactions once payments are received.
  • Responsible to manage/resolve customer queries, disputes and working closely with the customer service team.
  • Actively chase for payments with customers or managing customer refunds for the Malaysia and Singapore region.
  • Making sure that all communications are documented into the systems and reports.
  • Ensure that cash applications processes are adequately done, including any reconciliation, uploading of invoices, required banking/payment documents, etc.
  • Provide required assistance/guidance for AR matters to stakeholders like sales or finance whenever necessary.
  • Generate and review of AR aging reports and keeping management team updated at all times.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant credit control and collection experience, preferably with experience in FMCG and multinational company environment.
  • Possess Bachelor's Degree or professional qualification ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Possess strong critical thinking, independent and process improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge in SAP and SalesForce is an added advantage.
  • Strong written and communication skills in English is a MUST.
