About our client:
This company is a well-known MNC in the trading and distribution business with multiple brand presence and partnerships across the globe. They are looking to hire a country accountant to be based in Kuala Lumpur to support the senior management and manage regional accounts.

Your key responsibilities includes:
* Handle day-to-day operation of the Finance team in accordance with group guidelines and deadlines.
* Coordinate with the shared service team on closing activities
* Ensure alignment of local processes and controllership compliance
* Co‐ordinate with Treasury for local treasury/banking requirements
* Lead projects on process improvement, streamlining and re-engineering
* Ensure proper submission of tax returns and coordinate with tax agents for tax-related matters.
* Support on audits, statutory reporting and tax

The ideal candidate should have:
* At least a bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, and/or professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW,MIA etc.)
* A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in audit or commercial.
* Exposure in trading or distribution industry in MNC organisations will have added advantage
* Big 4 / Big 10 candidates are encouraged to apply
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (finance and non-finance)
