Construction Manager (Indonesia)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage safety, quality, schedule, cost, commissioning, design, pre-construction, procurement, contracting, and construction activities at complex, large-scale sites.
• Focus on successful delivery of Major Capital projects, particularly $100+ Million data center projects, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, scope management, budget control, and quality.
• Implement and maintain site health, safety, and security controls.
• Oversee multiple construction projects, managing budgets, schedules, and risk.
• Provide updates on project status, including plans, variances, and risk mitigation.
• Develop data-driven action plans for executive decision-making.
• Use project schedules and budgets to create work plans, cash flow projections, and Earned Value Management targets.
• Manage schedules and risks to ensure reliable turnover dates.
• Mitigate risks through pre-planning and innovative strategies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving solutions.
• Collaborate with General Contractors, Vendors, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with Procurement/Sourcing to meet project needs.
• Support strategy, finance, and pre-construction teams in developing project goals.
• Lead cost managers in proposal evaluations and final approvals.
• Assist the Site Construction Project Manager with campus-wide work and contractor management.
• Develop and monitor quality program metrics and address trends.
• Mentor and develop the on-site QA/QC team.
• Manage QA/QC inspection processes and punch-list closures.
• Review MEP submittals for quality assurance and compliance.
• Develop, review, and approve quality procedures and technical deliverables.
• Recommend and verify corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
• Develop and implement project scope, sourcing, and contracting, including reviewing commissioning scripts.
• Review Turnover Documentation Packages for accuracy.
• Provide onsite technical support and construction quality control.
• Attend construction meetings and manage warranty/tenant improvement work.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• At least 15 years of construction management experience in mission critical projects (oil and gas/ data centers/ telecommunications, etc).
• Multi-project management experience in large-scale construction.
• Experience in contract change management, progress billing, and financial controls.
• Expertise in Project Management, Planning, Construction Management, and preferably Data Centers.
• Leadership experience with Owners, Architects, Contractors, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of various prime contracts and EVM methods.
• Proficiency in P6 scheduling, cost control, and value engineering.
• Familiarity with development design and construction aspects.
• Ability to work in international teams and interact with all management levels.
• Strong executive presence and ability to convey technical concepts to non-construction audiences.
• Highly organized, analytical, and skilled in communication and problem-solving.
• Technical knowledge of critical facilities and systems.
• Understanding of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Primavera, MS Office, Oracle cost management, Unifier, Concorde, and SharePoint.
• Ability to handle stress and fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in English and Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesian).
