Construction Manager

My client is a renowned wastewater and water treatment company. They are looking for a Construction Manager for their ongoing large scale projects in Sabah.

Job Description

  • Oversee site activities to ensure project goals for cost, schedule, and quality are achieved.

  • Review design proposals and conduct value engineering to improve cost efficiency.

  • Develop and monitor project implementation schedules.

  • Participate in assessing technical proposals from tendering contractors.

  • Organize and attend meetings, prepare documentation, and follow up on action items.

  • Coordinate closely with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors to align with project objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders including clients, vendors, consultants, internal teams, and specialists.

  • Manage planning and execution of mechanical/equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in overseeing large-scale developments, especially within the water services and infrastructure sectors.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background managing major government initiatives and demonstrate strong leadership and project management capabilities. This role involves supervising on-site operations and ensuring that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while effectively managing relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
