Claims Manager

Job description



Portfolio Oversight

  • Manage end-to-end claims activities across specialty financial segments such as Directors & Officers, Professional Indemnity, Crime, Employment Practices, Cyber, and similar product lines.
  • Take charge of claims administration for Liability and Accident & Health segments.
  • Drive fair, timely, and accurate assessment and resolution of all assigned claims.
  • Offer subject-matter expertise and coach junior team members to strengthen technical capabilities.
  • Lead a team of claims specialists, ensuring consistent quality, productivity, and service standards.


External Collaboration

  • Engage with intermediaries, clients, counsels, and reinsurance partners on intricate or high-severity claim files.
  • Represent the organization in negotiations, dispute discussions, and formal resolution forums when required.


Risk & Regulatory Standards

  • Uphold all internal processes, quality standards, and regulatory obligations related to claims practices.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation and record‑keeping to support audits, internal reviews, and governance activities.


Performance Monitoring

  • Assess emerging trends, claim patterns, and portfolio behavior to support strategic underwriting and risk decisions.
  • Produce periodic performance summaries covering reserving accuracy, financial impacts, and overall claims health.


Operational Excellence

  • Recommend and execute enhancements that improve workflow efficiency, customer experience, and internal controls.
  • Participate in innovation, automation, and digital enhancement initiatives within the claims function.
