Business Development Specialist

Job description

Our client is a major European manufacturer of heavy commercial vehicles, specialising in buses, trucks, vans and engines. As part of their expansion plan, they are looking for experienced Business Development Specialists to broaden their market footprint.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with fleet operators, public transport agencies, schools, tourism operators, and private companies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, product demonstration, proposal development, negotiation, to deal closure.
  • Support participation in tenders, bids, and large-scale procurement projects.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Develop deep understanding of the company's product offerings.
  • Present technical and commercial product information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate market requirements to engineering, product, and marketing teams.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, automotive, or transportation solutions (bus industry preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications, vehicle configurations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and customer engagement.
