AVP, IT (Infrastructure)

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain IT infrastructure, applications, and client services for all Malaysia-based legal entities.
  • Administer IT systems at the disaster recovery (BCP) site to ensure operational continuity.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security, and end-user devices.
  • Support and troubleshoot technical issues for business users across applications and infrastructure.
  • Execute and manage projects related to BNM systems, applications, and APAC IT initiatives.
  • Ensure IT documentation is up to date and aligned with standards and policies.
  • Conduct regular system health checks and ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with APAC IT teams for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and project execution.
  • Provide on-call support for security patches, incidents, maintenance, and system cutovers.
  • Assist the Head of IT with ad-hoc tasks and strategic IT initiatives.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, network administration, and system support.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in banking IT, specifically supporting BNM applications and disaster recovery projects.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux systems, network technologies, cybersecurity concepts, and data backup/recovery solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with financial applications such as Chequeworks, GWC, IBG, CCRIS, PIDM, RPP, and eMandate.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and Excel macros.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent teamwork.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
