Role Purpose
The Associate Lead Financial Accountant / Controller supports financial governance, reporting, and compliance activities across assigned entities. This role focuses on accurate accounting, process improvement, and collaboration with senior finance leaders to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and internal policies.
- Assist with statutory reporting and external audit coordination.
- General Ledger & Reconciliation
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Monitor journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Support the integrity of financial data across systems.
- Cost Management & Analysis
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost allocation models.
- Provide analysis of cost drivers and variances to support decision-making.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Support implementation of internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements.
- Ensure adherence to risk management practices.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with senior controllers and finance managers to deliver timely insights.
- Partner with business units to provide financial clarity.
- Support junior team members with guidance and training where needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Certification: Progress toward CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 4-6 years in accounting or financial controlling, ideally within multinational environments.
- Skills:
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
