Assistant Procurement Manager

Job description

This F&B manufacturer based in Selangor is looking to hire an Assistant Procurement Manager or a Senior Procurement Exec who's looking to get promoted into an AM to join the team. This role is focused on overseeing the overall sourcing, purchasing and negotiation of goods and services. The sourcing and purchasing will be focusing on food ingredients and it is critical to have the relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing procurement strategies, ensuring cost effectiveness and managing supplier relationships
  • Forecasting purchase orders efficiently while considering inventory levels and production planning
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels to prevent overstocking situations
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors to secure terms and resolve issues
  • Overseeing and monitoring the team's performance and to align with the department's KPP

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or Food Science
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within procurement/purchasing within the FMCG or Food industries
  • Must be able to source and procure food ingredients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferable to have ERP knowledge
