Assistant Manager, Mobile Application

About our client:

Join a leading automotive technology provider as a full‑time Assistant Manager, Mobile Application, based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this role, you will lead and support the design, development, and enhancement of modern mobile applications that drive innovative digital experiences for the automotive sector.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage web and mobile development projects with full end‑to‑end oversight to ensure delivery within defined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Coordinate activities across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring clear schedules and adherence to milestones and deadlines.
  • Lead requirement‑gathering workshops with stakeholders, analyse business needs, and provide strategic recommendations to support marketing and business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage project resources and environments to ensure smooth end‑to‑end execution.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, and IT operations to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Work with Project Managers to support the successful delivery of agreed scopes by managing business analysis activities.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Specifications (FS), Test Plans, and other relevant artefacts.
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operational aspects of the project and manage changes in scope.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and prioritisation.
  • Track and report project milestones, providing regular status updates to sponsors and project teams.
  • Monitor and analyse project progress to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of relevant working experience preferred.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is an added advantage.
  • Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and other Atlassian products is a plus.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies for iOS/Android or web development is an advantage.
