Assistant Manager - Chemist

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize formulations for household products.
  • Drive new product development and introduce innovative concepts and trends.
  • Provide technical support on formulations, including troubleshooting issues.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor product testing, stability studies, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare product documentation such as costing, specifications, ingredient lists, and product write-ups.
  • Source and evaluate raw materials, including cost-reduction initiatives for existing products.
  • Support product scale-up and assist in troubleshooting during production for new launches.
  • Contribute to process design and development of manufacturing procedures.
  • Supervise and guide junior chemists or lab assistants in development activities.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
  • Ability to independently develop and formulate household products.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory environments and equipment handling.
  • Capability to mentor and guide junior team members.
