Assistant Finance Manager - Costing/Commercial Finance

We are currently recruiting for a multinational FMCG manufacturing companies in Malaysia who is looking to hire an experienced Assistant Finance Managers, who will be responsible for full spectrum of Costing or Commercial Finance matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, based in Kuching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as business partner and responsible for the financial simulation depending on business needs for East Malaysia division.
  • Preparation of manufacturing related reports, monitoring of product costing and work closely with commercial team for simulation of new product costs.
  • Prepare financial and manufacturing reports and perform detailed financial analysis.
  • Input journal entries in relation to manufacturing entities.
  • Provide support on forecast and budgeting activities.
  • Active participation in process improvements and recommendations on cost saving opportunities.
  • Perform in ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possess Degree in Finance/Accountancy or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial finance/FP&A/costing, in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to travel to West Malaysia once per quarter.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, proactive and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
