Ansible Automation Platform Engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to support scalable and consistent infrastructure operations.
  • Develop and optimize Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections to automate provisioning, deployments, and configuration management.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, TeamCity) to enable automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security controls and compliance requirements into automated processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues to ensure system stability, high availability, and performance.
  • Continuously enhance automation workflows, adopting best practices and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Maintain clear documentation of automation processes, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven DevOps experience with strong expertise in Ansible and the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills, with solid understanding of systems, networking, and security best practices.
