Accountant (Based in Shah Alam)

We are currently recruiting for a multinational company in the consumer industry in Malaysia who are looking to hire an experienced Accountant, who will be responsible for Finance & Accounting matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to Head of Finance, based in Shah Alam.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month end closing activities, preparation of financial reports and relevant tax requirements.
  • Close liaison with both local and overseas stakeholders.
  • Responsible for resolving and attending to queries from Business Groups.
  • Participation in yearly internal audit, external audit and tax submissions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in not only finance & accounting processes and other functional areas.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant financial reporting experience, preferably with a career foundation in an audit firm.
  • Experience in managing a team will be an added advantage
  • Possess strong critical thinking, interpersonal and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
