Accountant (Based in Petaling Jaya)

About Our Client

Our client is a Healthcare multinational corporation with an established presence in Malaysia. They are looking to hire an experienced Financial Accountant - GL & Reporting, who will be responsible for finance and accounting matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. This role will be supporting and reporting directly to Finance Team Lead and Head of Finance, based in PJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliation, GL, treasury and fixed assets tasks.
• Perform month end closing activities and preparation of financial reports, for review and approval by the Finance Team Lead.
• Ensure the supplier invoices/payments have been reviewed and approved by both Finance Team Lead and Finance Manager.
• Participation in yearly internal audit, external audit and tax submissions.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant financial reporting experience, preferably with a career foundation in external audit.
• Possess professional qualification ie. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Possess strong critical thinking, independent and analytical skills.
• Proficient in International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS").
• Excellent written and communication skills in English.
