Accountant

We are currently recruiting for a US multinational company in the manufacturing/services sector in Malaysia who are looking to hire an experienced Accountant, who will be responsible for full spectrum of finance and accounting matters. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to Financial Controller, based in both Klang and Subang Jaya office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Participation in weekly forecast and annual budget activities.
• Close liaison with internal & external auditors, tax agents and corporate bankers.
• Maintenance fixed asset register and schedule and perform related intercompany transactions.
• Closely coordinate with outsourced vendor on Accounts Payable and Receivables transactions, to ensure that sub-ledgers are correctly reconciled.
• Participation in related costing and financial analysis, along with close liaison with operations team for process understanding.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant financial reporting experience, preferably with a career foundation in external audit.
• Exposure to SAP and manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Possess strong critical thinking, interpersonal and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and communication skills in English.
