About our client:

This company is an European conglomerate leading the industry of oil & gas, energy and property & development. They are looking to hire an accountant to be based in Petaling Jaya to support the senior management and work closely with their regional finance team.

Your key responsibilities includes:

• Handle end-to-end finance reporting and preparation of financial statements in accordance to IFRS.
• Responsible for tasks in the area of month end closing and preparation of journal vouchers.
• Take over project management role for process optimization initiatives
• Support on audits, statutory reporting and tax

The ideal candidate should have:

• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.)
• Strong knowledge in IFRS
• Exposure in oil & gas, energy, property developmemt.
• A proven track record of being a key contributor to the business's commercial value.
• Experience using SAP system
• Candidates with Japanese speaking ability will have good advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (finance and non-finance)
