Test Analyst (Banking)

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-performing Test Analyst with strong end-to-end testing experience to join a dynamic delivery team within the financial services domain.

You will play a key role in defining test strategies, executing test plans, and leading UAT coordination, ensuring high-quality delivery across complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Define Test Strategy and Test Plan documentation
• Design comprehensive test cases and test scenarios
• Prepare and support business users for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Understand business requirements and application functionality (especially within banking/financial systems)
• Lead and manage UAT cycles across Agile and Waterfall projects
• Execute test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
• Coordinate across SIT and UAT phases in multi-phase project environments
• Work closely with stakeholders (developers, BAs, business users) to ensure quality delivery

Key Requirements

• Proven track record as a Test Analyst with end-to-end testing experience
• Strong experience in:
  • SIT & UAT coordination (Agile preferred)
  • Test management & defect lifecycle
  • Test progress reporting
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate into test coverage
• Exposure to banking, insurance, or financial services systems
• A Business Analyst background is a strong advantage

Tools & Technical Skills

Experience with:

• JIRA & Confluence
• SQL queries
• Unix environment
• Mantis (or similar defect tracking tools)
• Data migration testing
• General test management tools

Experience & Certification

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
• ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level (CTFL) is a plus
• (Candidates currently pursuing certification are encouraged to apply)

Language Requirement

• Fluency in Mandarin OR Cantonese is mandatory
• (Due to regional projects involving China / Hong Kong stakeholders)
