Service Coordinator (medical device)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor service requests, repair works, and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Arrange and deploy Field Service Engineers (FSE) for on-site and remote support
  • Liaise closely with internal departments including Sales, Service, Supply Chain, and Warehouse
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers on all service-related matters
  • Provide timely updates on service status, maintenance schedules, and issue resolution
  • Advise customers on warranty coverage, service contracts, and after-sales support
  • Coordinate with principals/vendors and regional distributors for technical support and spare parts
  • Ensure availability of parts and tools to support service operations
  • Maintain proper documentation of service reports, installation records, and customer interactions
  • Update and manage maintenance schedules in CMMS system
  • Support invoicing, service billing, and contract renewal processes
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance activities

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Biomedical, or related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in service coordination, customer service, or similar role
  • Experience in medical devices / healthcare industry will be an added advantage
  • Good communication skills in English (additional languages such as Mandarin is a plus, depending on client base)
  • Strong coordination, organisational, and multitasking skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and customer-oriented environment
  • Basic technical understanding of equipment/services is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with CMMS or ServiceMax system is an added advantage
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow through tasks independently
