The Role
From system design to production support, you'll own the full backend delivery lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks
  • Take features from technical design through to testing, deployment, and post-release support
  • Connect and integrate with third-party APIs, internal microservices, and messaging systems
  • Optimise backend performance and reliability for high-volume data processing
  • Actively contribute to code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and system design discussions
  • Guide junior developers and champion engineering best practices across the team
What We're Looking For
A self-driven backend engineer with a strong ownership mindset and a sharp eye for quality.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of Java backend development experience
  • Proficient in Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and MySQL
  • Proven track record building scalable microservices and backend architectures
  • Solid grasp of design patterns, OOP principles, and clean code practices
  • Experienced with Git and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins or GitLab CI)
  • Familiar with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and Linux environments
  • Highly independent with strong ownership and problem-solving abilities
  • Open to Malaysian citizens only
  • Advantageous: AWS (S3, EC2, RDS), Docker/Kubernetes, ElastiCache, real-time system experience, or Mandarin language skills
