The Role

Design, develop, deliver - here's what you'll be responsible for:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks

• Build responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces that deliver exceptional experiences across multiple devices and platforms

• Develop reusable frontend components, optimise application performance, and implement best practices for maintainable code architecture

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, Backend Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into effective digital solutions

• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and ensure seamless data flow, error handling, and application reliability

• Implement frontend testing strategies, troubleshoot technical issues, and continuously improve application quality

• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and frontend engineering standards across the development team

• Explore and adopt emerging frontend technologies, development tools, and AI-assisted coding practices to improve productivity and delivery quality

What We're Looking For

A technically strong, user-focused frontend engineering professional:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on frontend development experience with strong expertise in React.js

• Proven experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3

• Strong understanding of React concepts including Hooks, component architecture, state management, and performance optimisation

• Experience with frontend state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar technologies

• Solid understanding of responsive design principles, browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and modern UI development practices

• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services

• Familiarity with frontend build tools, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development workflows

• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js is an advantage

• Understanding of secure frontend development practices, including authentication flows and data protection

• Experience working in Agile development environments with cross-functional engineering teams

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar is an advantage

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail
