Senior Finance Manager (Based in Penang)

About Our Client:

Are you a senior finance professional ready to step into a high-impact, commercially driven role? Our client, a well-established homegrown FMCG group based in Penang, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join their leadership team. This is your opportunity to take full ownership of the finance function and be the business partner to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the General Manager, shaping financial strategy, and driving performance across the group, based in Mainland Penang.

• Overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, financial governance, and internal controls.
• Managing treasury, cash flow forecasting, working capital, and banking facilities.
• Leading financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
• Preparing Board papers, presentations, management accounts, and relevant stakeholder reports.
• Evaluating CAPEX, pricing strategies, investment proposals, and business cases.
• Driving finance digitalisation, ERP implementation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Overseeing manufacturing costing, profitability analysis, efficiency and performance management.
• Acting as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and joint venture partners.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the wider finance team.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Possess Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of finance experience, ideally with mixture of experience in reporting and financial analysis in the manufacturing industry.
• Commercially astute, with strong FP&A, treasury, and business partnering capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and finance digitalisation projects.
• Confidence engaging with senior leadership and presenting to key stakeholders.
• A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
