Our client is a globally recognised organisation with complex, enterprise-scale technology operations. They're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep Apigee expertise to lead and shape their critical API management platform.

The Role

Here's what you'll be taking on:

• Lead development teams through the full platform lifecycle, from design and analysis through to deployment
• Drive deep-dive investigations into complex API gateway and platform incidents, ensuring timely resolution
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, refine API traffic flows, and maintain resilient, scalable platform operations
• Take ownership of platform architecture decisions, evaluating and implementing improvements across production and non-production API environments
• Partner with vendors and cross-functional teams to address security vulnerabilities, performance anomalies, and uphold API security standards
• Engage cross-functionally with networking, cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support seamless system integration

What We're Looking For

Here's what you'll bring:

• Deep expertise in Apigee API Management, with hands-on experience across Apigee X and Apigee Hybrid (essential)
• Practical experience across key DevOps tooling including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, NGINX, Ansible, Git, and GitHub Actions
• Strong observability and monitoring skills, including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, and OpenTelemetry
• Experience with Azure and Google Cloud platforms
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and MongoDB
• Exposure to Jenkins, Spring Boot, F5 Big-IP, or broader API development experience would be a bonus
• Self-directed with the ability to prioritise under pressure and communicate effectively in a multinational environment
